Design Vault Press is NOT a vanity press. We provide a variety of production services to authors as they independently publish their own books. However, we ocassionaly offer traditional publishing contracts. While we are not actively seeking manuscripts for publication, we will consider your book for publication. Only a handful will be selected for publication each year, so your manuscript should be polished and free of typos before presenting it for consideration.
Why publish with Design Vault Press?
For one, we publish quality books. Every stage of production is taken seriously and as a result, our publications shine. Our books don't have the "self-published" look or feel that readers have come to associate with indie authors, or even small publishing companies. As an author and valued client of Design Vault Press, your participation in the publication process is important to us; you can be as involved as you want to be. Some authors are excited to be part of the production process. Others are looking for someone with experience to take the reins and make it happen. Whatever your prerogative, we will work with you every step of the way to produce a book that you can be proud of.
Why seek traditional publication with Design Vault Press?
We are committed to helping authors bring a quality product to market, but we don't stop there; unlike our competitors, we are committed to helping our authors sell books. Yep, you read that correctly. As a partner in your publication, we have a vested interest in your success. Therefore, we're willing to share the heavy lifting in the marketplace. Leveraging social media and a variety of promotional services and tools, DVP will actively work with you to generate sales and reader reviews for your book. We will help coordinate promotional events to establish or maintain your local author presence (book signings, readings, Q&As, et cetera). Likewise, we will provide an author website, blog platform and newsletter signup for you to keep your readers engaged. As a DVP author, these services are available at no cost to you. Lastly, you may order your books at cost (without markup) to be sold or given away at your discretion.
